This version of MDaemon Webmail introduces a number of new features and options:

A Redesigned WorldClient Theme

The WorldClient theme has a new look. A menu on the left opens your Email, Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, Notes, Documents, Chat, and Web Conference, and your settings open in dialogs from the settings panel. A welcome tour introduces the new layout, and you can restart it at any time from the Settings.

•Chat is better integrated, with its own view, settings, and notifications.

•Web Conference is now available in the WorldClient theme, not only in Pro.

•Message List — buttons for common actions appear when you point to a message, including: Reply, Forward, Snooze, Mark as Read, Delete, and more. There is also a Mailbox Quotas indicator.

•Message view — a Show details / Hide details toggle for the message header, and the AI Summarize and Translate features.

•Contacts, Tasks, Notes, and Documents — Card view and List view, Customize Columns, an All button to show the items from every folder, and sorting and searching. Notes can be pinned to the screen as sticky notes, documents can have temporary download links, and a contact's birthday or anniversary can be added to your calendar.

•Calendar — a List view, side-by-side calendars, highlighting of your business hours, and a Meeting Invitation bar with Accept, Maybe, and Decline.

•Compose — new Default Compose Location and Preserve Office Formatting options.

All Themes

•All themes now share a single sign-in screen, instead of a separately designed one for each theme.

•Spam and Not Spam buttons are available for messages in the Message List in the Pro and WorldClient themes.

•You can now recall a message that was sent with deferred delivery, even when the recall delay is set to 0.

•Web addresses in contacts, and links in the notes of contacts, events, tasks, and notes, are now clickable.

•When you schedule a web conference, its link is now included in the body of the calendar event, as well as in the location.

•Keyboard Shortcuts now work the same way in the WorldClient and Pro themes — every layout is added on top of the WorldClient (Default) layout, new keys include Shift+Del (delete permanently) and Alt+C (copy), and None turns shortcuts off.

Pro Theme

•The Pro theme has a new HTML editor for composing messages.

•In the Security settings, setting up an authenticator app, email verification, an app password, or a recovery email now asks for your current password in a dialog, instead of in a separate password field beforehand.

•You can download a contact's, event's, task's, or note's attachments directly from its preview.

Other Changes

•Voice Recorder is now available only in the Pro theme.

New in Recent Versions of MDaemon Webmail

Single Sign-On (SSO)

For some users, you may now see a Sign In with SSO button on your Webmail sign-in page in addition to other sign in options, such as: Sign In or Passwordless Sign In. This is a secure and convenient option that will allow you to access your Webmail by using the same username and password you may already use to sign in to your computer, other company apps, or Microsoft/Google/etc. — instead of using your Webmail email address and password. When you click this button, you will be redirected to your company or organization's sign-in page to enter your username and password. Follow any additional steps if prompted, and then you will be signed in and returned to Webmail automatically. If for some reason you see an error or the button doesn't work, you should still be able to sign in using the regular sign-in option. Otherwise, contact your email administrator.

Web Conference Improvements

•Web Conference Recording — There is now an optional feature that allows conference creators and administrators to record web conferences. If you create and join a conference when this feature is available, you will see a Record Conference option on the conference page's top toolbar. When you click that option to start recording, all attendees will be notified that the conference is being recorded. Download links for conference recordings will be available on each attendee's Conference History page.

•Sharing Files in Conferences — Attendees can now upload files during a conference and then everyone else in the conference will see links to download those files. The download links will also be available on each attendee's Conference History page, to access later.

•You can now invite external, non-Webmail users to conferences, by entering the person's email address when creating the conference. For those outside participants, an email invitation containing a special link will be sent to the address, which the person can click to join the conference; they will be required to enter a verification code that they request after following the link. Attendees who join in this way will be shown a different user interface and will not have access to the Conference History entries related to the conference. To support this change, the invitation feature now uses the Contact Picker.

•Conference History improvements — The Conference History page includes an entry for each conference you attend, which includes the chat history for the conference and download links for any files uploaded. If the conference was recorded, it will also contain a download link for the recording.

•You can now resize the Attendees section of the chat and attendees panel during a conference.

•New conference invitations are now also sent to a user's MDaemon Instant Messenger (MDIM), in addition to the user's email address.

Pro Theme Improvements

•You can now right-click a favorite folder and choose Set Nickname to give it a nickname.

•The Pro theme's Calendar view now has a web-conf-icon-refresh-cal Refresh button, and there is an Auto-Refresh Interval option in the Calendar settings, which controls how often it is refreshed automatically when displayed. It is set to Do not refresh by default.

•Added a Business Hours option in the Calendar settings that allows you to customize the business hours shown for each day on the Pro theme calendar's Week View.

Web Conference

The new Web Conference feature enables real-time virtual meetings and conferences with other users who share your organization's domain—for example, you@example.com could create virtual meetings with other @example.com users. In some cases, you may also be able to use the Web Conference feature with members of other domains, as long as they share your organization's email system. You can create audio-only calls or conferences, audio and video, and even instant messaging/text-chat meetings. There are also screen sharing options so that you can display a browser tab, a window, or even your entire screen to other conference attendees. You can use one click to start a call with an individual, or you can use the New Conference option to set up more complex meetings, with multiple attendees, moderator tools, password requirements, advance scheduling, and more. As of version 26.5.0, Web Conference is also available in the WorldClient theme.

Other Improvements

•The Pro theme now has a search box in the Copy / Move dialog.

•If your account has been given permission to send messages as if from another user, such as an administrative assistant given permission to send emails as if from his manager, Webmail will include the address in a list of possible From addresses when composing.

•In Publish Schedule you now have options to require or hide the phone, address, and notes fields on the appointment scheduling view.

•Webmail now retains the custom colors of a calendar in published calendars.

Pro Theme Improvements

•Added long-press context menus to folders and list items for mobile devices.

•Added a thicker border on the left edge of events in the Calendar view.

•Added a Select All checkbox for the Contact Picker.

Other Improvements

•MDaemon Webmail's Lite theme has been removed and therefore may no longer be available in this version of Webmail. See Choosing a Theme for the themes that are available.

•Added contact pictures in the message list. If a message is from someone in your contact list and the contact has a picture, then messages from that contact will display the contact picture instead of the first letter of the contact's name.

•The Webmail sign-in process has been updated to provide a meaningful error message when your sign-in credentials are correct but access is denied due to your account being frozen, disabled, not allowed to use remote access, or when Do Not Disturb is enabled.
