Use the Calendar settings to choose how your calendar is displayed, printed, and refreshed, and to set your reminder, meeting request, Free/Busy, and business hours options.
Display
Use AM/PM Time Format
By default, times in Webmail will be displayed in the 12-hour AM/PM format. Clear this checkbox if you wish to use the 24-hour format instead.
Default Calendar View
This is the calendar view that Webmail displays by default when you open the Calendar. You may choose the Day, Week, Month (the default), or List view.
Date Format
You can use this option to set the format to use for displaying dates in Webmail. For example, "25/12/2010" for "%d/%m/%Y" or "2010-12-25" and "%Y-%m-%d". You can choose from four different date formats.
Start of Week
Use the drop-down box to choose the day of the week that you wish to appear first in your calendar views.
Start of Work Week
Use this option to set the first day of your work week.
Default Event Length
Use this option to set the default length of your events, from 15 minutes to 2 hours. The default is 1 hour. When creating an event, you can always change the event's End Time to a different value if you do not wish to use the default value set here.
Preview & Refresh
Show Event Preview on Hover
When this option is enabled, holding the mouse pointer over an event in the calendar displays a preview of the event's details. This option is enabled by default.
Preview Delay
Choose how long you must hold the pointer over an event before its preview appears. The default is 1 second.
Auto-Refresh Interval
Use this option to set how often the calendar's contents will be refreshed automatically when it is displayed. This option is set to Off by default. There is a
Refresh button on the calendar's toolbar to refresh it manually.
Reminders
Default Reminder
This is the default reminder setting that will be used when creating a new calendar event. You can set this option to "No reminder" or to a specific time value. If you typically, for example, set new events to remind you 15 minutes before the start time, this option can be used to set that value automatically for all new events. When creating an event, you can always change the reminder setting to a different value if you do not wish to use the default value set here.
Send Email Reminders
Click this box if you wish to send email reminders for your events and Tasks.
Send Reminders for OC Users
Check this box if you also wish to send reminders when you are an MDaemon Connector user.
Meeting Requests
Auto-Accept Meeting Requests
Check this box if you want event invitations to be accepted automatically. Otherwise you will have to specifically accept invitations as they arrive to your Inbox. Event cancellations will be processed automatically as well.
Free/Busy
Webmail is equipped with a Free/Busy feature, which makes it possible for a meeting planner to view the availability of potential attendees. You can access this information using the Scheduling Assistant when creating a new event.
Allow Users to Query Free/Busy
Check this box to let others see your Free/Busy information. This option is enabled by default.
Free/Busy Months to Expose
Choose how many months of your calendar's Free/Busy data others will be able to see. The default is 3.
Webmail's Free/Busy feature is also compatible with Microsoft Outlook. To use it, configure Outlook to search the URL listed below for Free/Busy data. In Outlook 2010 or later, for example, the Search Location for the Free/Busy options are located under "File » Options » Calendar » Free/Busy Options...".
Free/Busy server URL for Outlook:
http://<Webmail><:Port>/Worldclient.dll?view=fbinfo&user=%NAME%@%SERVER%
Replace "<Webmail>" with the IP address or domain name of your MDaemon Webmail server, and "<:Port>" with a colon and port number (if necessary). For example:
http://example.com:3000/Worldclient.dll?view=fbinfo&user=%NAME%@%SERVER%
or
http://mail.example.com/Worldclient.dll?view=fbinfo&user=%NAME%@%SERVER%
Printing
This is the format that will be used when you print a calendar. Choose List Format to print a list of your events, or Calendar Frame to print the calendar itself.
Business Hours
Use this option to specify the business hours that are highlighted on your calendar for each day of the week. You can add multiple time periods per day. In the WorldClient theme, click Add time period next to a day, set the start and end times, and click Confirm. Click Remove to delete a period. In the Pro theme, click the
plus button next to a day and choose the hours, in whole or half-hour increments (e.g. 9AM-4PM, 10:30AM-12PM, etc).
