Use the Keyboard Shortcuts option in your Personalize settings to choose a keyboard shortcut layout: WorldClient (Default), Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, Thunderbird, or None. If you are already familiar with the shortcut key combinations used by another email client, such as Gmail or Outlook, then you can use this option to cause Webmail to use your preferred layout.
WorldClient (Default) is the default layout. Each of the other layouts is added on top of it: a layout changes only the keys that it defines, and every other default key keeps working. With the Thunderbird layout, for example, R still replies to a message.
Keep these points in mind:
•Shortcuts do not work while you are typing in a text box, a drop-down list, or the message editor. The only exceptions are the compose shortcuts that use Ctrl or Alt.
•Shortcuts are not available on phones and tablets.
•For two-key shortcuts, such as G then I, press the second key within 1.5 seconds of the first.
•Your browser may keep some keys for itself, such as Ctrl+R, Ctrl+P, Ctrl+O, Ctrl+3, and F5. If one of these does not work, use the WorldClient (Default) key for the same action, such as R to reply.
•None turns off the shortcuts, except Up Arrow and Down Arrow (with or without Shift), Ctrl+A, Shift+A, Del, and Shift+Del. No compose shortcuts work with None.
•When Webmail's language is German, Alt+L is not used as a shortcut, and when it is Polish, Alt+N, Alt+A, Alt+S, and Alt+L are not used, because those keys type characters on those keyboards.
An empty cell means that the layout uses the WorldClient (Default) key for that action.

‡ In the LookOut theme, Print is Alt+P only, the Thunderbird layout has no Ctrl+O, Ctrl+U works only in a message's own window, and Ctrl+M (or the layout's key) opens the combined Move or Copy option.
These shortcuts work in the compose window. An empty cell means that the layout uses the WorldClient (Default) key.

•The WorldClient (Default) compose keys (Alt+N, Alt+L, and Alt+C) work in every layout.
•Shortcuts that use Ctrl or Alt also work while you are typing in the address, Subject, and message fields. Esc works only when the cursor is not in one of those fields (in the LookOut theme, it also works in those fields).
•In the WorldClient theme, the Send and Save Draft buttons show the current layout's shortcut when you point to them.
These shortcuts work only in the LookOut theme. The WorldClient and Pro themes do not have these features.

Some layouts use a default key for a different action, so that default action has no shortcut in the layout:
•Outlook: U (Next Unread), M (Mark as Read), S (Toggle Flag), V (View Source), and I (Go To Inbox).
•Gmail: J (Mark as Spam), V (View Source), and I (Go To Inbox).
•Yahoo: S (Toggle Flag) and M (Mark as Read).
•Thunderbird: Ctrl+M (Move to Folder) and Shift+C (Go To Contacts).
•The shortcuts also work in your Contacts, Tasks, Notes, and Documents lists, for the actions that each list supports.
•In the WorldClient theme, an open message uses the message list shortcuts, and a message opened in its own window has no shortcuts. In the Pro theme, an open message uses the message list shortcuts, Esc closes it, and Shift+Del does not work.
•Print prints the selected message in the WorldClient theme (exactly one message must be selected), and the open message in the Pro theme.
•In the Pro theme, Mark Folder As Read asks you to confirm.
•The Mark as Spam and Not Spam shortcuts do nothing if those options are turned off for your account.
