Webmail can be set to collect mail from any number of additional POP mailboxes to which you have access. For example, your MDaemon Webmail email account may be for work but you may have a separate email account for home that you wish to collect with Webmail, too. Adding your home email account credentials in the Mailboxes settings will cause its mail to be collected and pooled with your MDaemon email. You could also then use the Folders and Filters options to sort the mail into specific folders to keep it separate from your work email.
The Mailboxes option may not be available for all users.
To add a mailbox:
1.Click Settings and then Mailboxes.
2.Click New Account.
3.Fill in the options described below, and click Save.
Host
This is the mail server from which you wish to retrieve your email messages. This will be a domain name or IP address (e.g. mail.company.com, myisp.com, 127.0.0.1, etc.). When collecting mail from Gmail or Office 365, use "pop.gmail.com:995" or "outlook.office365.com:995", respectively. You must also select the Connect to this account with OAuth 2.0 option below. See: Authorizing your Gmail or Microsoft (Office) 365 Account below.
User Name
This is your Username/login ID on the mail server from which you will be retrieving your mail.
Password
Type into this box the password of the account on the mail server from which you will be retrieving your mail.
Enabled
Check this box to enable mail collection, you can uncheck it to stop the collection at any time without deleting the mailbox.
Remove mail from POP account
Click this checkbox if you wish to delete the mail from the POP mail server after it is downloaded by the MDaemon server. It will no longer be available on the original mail server. Uncheck this box if want this email to remain accessible apart from your MDaemon email account.
Encrypt POP Password using APOP
APOP is an email collection protocol that enables your password to be encrypted when it is transmitted over the network to the mail server. Click this checkbox if you know your mail server supports APOP and you would like to use it. If it is unchecked then the MDaemon server will use the normal POP protocol instead.
Connect to this account with OAuth 2.0
Choose this authentication method when collecting mail from Gmail or Office 365, and in Host above, use "pop.gmail.com:995" or "outlook.office365.com:995", respectively. After adding the mailbox, you will have to go through a short process to authorize MDaemon to collect its mail. See: Authorizing your Gmail or Microsoft (Office) 365 Account below.
To edit a mailbox:
1.Click Settings and then Mailboxes.
2.Click Edit next to the account that you wish to edit.
3.Make any desired changes, as described in Adding a Mailbox above.
4.Click Save.
If you wish to remove a mailbox, click Delete next to the account you wish to remove, and confirm. The account will be deleted, but any messages that were collected from it will remain in your folders.
After adding a Gmail or Microsoft (Office) 365 account with the OAuth option turned on, you must go through a short process to verify access and authorize MDaemon to collect its mail.
1.In the Mailboxes settings, click Authorize next to the account. (The account's Status shows Not Authorized until you do.) This opens a new browser window. If your browser blocks pop-up windows, allow them for Webmail.
2.Click Connect to Gmail (or Office 365).
3.Sign in to your Gmail or Office 365 account.
4.Complete whatever verification procedure your service requires (phone app notification, text message, authenticator app, or the like).
5.After you are verified, click Continue.
6.You will be asked to confirm that you wish to allow your Webmail (e.g. example.com) to access your account. Click Continue.
7.A final page will tell you, "MDaemon Connected to Gmail (or Office 365)". You can close this window.
If you are not allowed to continue after signing in to a Google Account, you should contact your email administrator. You may need to give your administrator the Google account's email address (e.g. name@gmail.com), so that it can be preauthorized with Google, giving you permission to link that account to MDaemon Webmail.
